Annual NAQG Conference (NAQGCON)

Location TBD

Date 2025 TBD

The North American Quilling Guild is notable for its annual Conference. Our member host arranges, assembles and plans the event in a location close to their home. Typically a Conference is held in a different State each year. Usually, the location is near to an International Airport. Accommodations and the Conference are housed in the same Hotel Facility. Not only do the members from United States attend but you can meet members from around the world from places such as Canada, the U.K., Peru, Japan and many others.

Once you learn to Quill you inevitably teach simply because you want others to love this art like you do. Our Conference boasts techniques and skills from members that are seasoned teachers and passionate about the art of Quilling.

A typical conference goes something like this but will vary each year.

We arrive on Thursday for a meet and greet! Friday is all day classes with a group luncheon. Saturday morning some classes are planned depending on the schedule. Saturday afternoon, members get together for displays of their work and Make-It/Take-it projects for fellow members and the general public.

The competition, open to all members from beginner to champion, submit their work to be voted on by members attending the Conference. The Public get to vote on “Viewers Choice” on Saturday.

Saturday at the evening meal, votes have been tallied and awards are presented for the Competition.

Depending on the location of the Conference some Hosts are able to offer an additional activity that would take place sometime during the weekend. This is an additional cost and not factored into the Conference fee.

Each Conference location offers a wealth of Historical venues to explore along with activities, shopping and food experiences which are classic to their area.

Each Conference events will vary. No two are exactly alike. So attending every year never gets boring, you learn something new each time and meet many wonderful people who become life long friends.
