WHAT TO EXPECT
The NAQGCON is a very special event, it’s an opportunity to meet other quillers and learn new techniques. All conference events are held in the hotel, competition, classes/demos, and public viewing hours. Events start at 6 PM Thursday and will continue through 11 PM Saturday. Please remember to bring your own quilling tools, glue, scissors, etc. (packed inside your luggage) for the classes and extra paper to practice all the things you will see and learn. Your name tag will be provided by us!
REGISTRATION
Early Bird registration for Members is TBD and ends TBD. After that regular registration fee will be TBD due by TBD.
Early Bird registration for Non-members is TBD and ends TBD. After that regular registration fee will be TBD due by TBD. Non-member registration fee includes a one-year online membership to NAQG.
If you are bringing a guest, that is someone who is not attending classes or special meetings, and you want them to attend our meals, lunch is TBD, dinner is TBD and both lunch and dinner is TBD. Here is the link to the Registration Form and it’s also on the left of this page.
COMPETITION ENTRIES
We encourage everyone to enter the competition. See the Competition Guideline page for details. Please submit the Competition Form no later than a week prior to the conference so that we can plan for the right amount of table space. There is no penalty if you pre-select/mark a category and do not enter work in that category. If you should need to mail in your competition piece, send to my home address: TBD. Include a copy of the registration and it must be received 2 weeks prior to the conference.
INSTRUCTORS AND VOLUNTEERS
If you would like to volunteer to teach a class/workshop, give demos or “Make-it/Take-its,” please let me know as soon as possible, and return to me the Teacher or Volunteer Registration Form (online). When teachers and classes are confirmed, I will post the class descriptions and notify attendees when to choose classes. We are extremely grateful for any teachers & demonstrators. On Saturday, we need several quilling demonstrators because we expect a lot of guests coming to see our work! If we have enough people helping, we can schedule different times so no one has to demonstrate for the whole three hours.
VENDORS
If you would like to be a vendor, please fill out the Vendor Form online as soon as possible. Table space is limited and first come, first served.
DISPLAY YOUR WORK
We would love to see your work. You can bring a few pieces or even a photo album. Please let us know how much space you would need by filling out the Display Space form. This is so that we can plan for the right number of tables.
GIVEAWAYS/RAFFLE
If you plan to donate any giveaways or items for the raffle table, please EMAIL me as soon as possible. If you plan to send them to me by mail include a note inside the parcel so I know for what purpose the items are intended. Please do not mail anything (packages/parcels) directly to the hotel.
This event takes a lot of work and planning. I’m relying on you to register as early as possible, so I know how many to plan for.
You may contact me via email at naqgconhost@naqg.org with any questions or if you need help with your hotel reservation.
